Your next big client doesn’t know you exist. Yet.

I’ll get you in the room.

I’ll show you how we’d get the conversation started. On me.

cowX gets founder-led firms talking to the big companies they want to win.

Big companies rarely go looking for new suppliers.

They stick with the firms they already know. Buying goes through several people, and backing a name nobody recognises is a risk for whoever suggests it.

So even with a big name or two behind you, it’s hard to get heard. You need to find the person who actually owns the problem, what makes now the moment, and why they’d want to hear from you. Doing that properly for each company takes time most founders don’t have.

None of that is about how good your work is. It’s about getting the right person to listen.

That’s the part I do.

You choose the companies you want to win. I do that work for each one, then open the conversation in your name. You approve the approach before anything goes out.

Not lists. Not volume. A few conversations with the companies that matter to you.

How it works

How I get you in the room.

  1. Why they chose you

I talk to you and, where possible, a couple of your clients about why they really bought from you. It’s feedback founders rarely get, and it’s what makes the next approach credible.

  2. Your ten companies

We agree ten companies you want to win. Bring your own list, or I’ll help you build one around where your track record counts most. Then I find the three people inside each one best placed to bring you in.

  3. Why now

I look for what’s happening at each company that makes your experience relevant today. If there’s no good reason to get in touch, I don’t.

  4. Opening the conversation

I write to each person in your name, with a note meant for them alone. If they don’t reply, I follow up briefly, then leave it until there’s a genuine reason to go back. I’ll never make you look like a salesperson.

Then I keep watching.

Big companies change all the time: new leaders, new results, new strategies, new deadlines. I keep watching your list and act when a fresh reason appears.

My guarantee

If I can’t make it work, you don’t pay.

I only take on founders I’m confident I can help. It generally takes two to three months for real conversations to get started, so that’s what I plan for.

If it isn’t happening, I’ll tell you straight. You won’t pay for something that doesn’t work.

Pricing

Ten companies. Everything it takes to get you in the room.

I keep a close eye on all ten, all the time. When something changes, I work out what it means for you and whether now is the moment. When it is, I move. If one becomes a client or goes cold, we swap it for another.

No setup fee. You commit to three months, and those three months are covered by my guarantee. After that, it’s month to month. Stop whenever you like.

The founding price is for early movers only. It’s open to my first six clients and locked for six months, then moves to list price. In return, I ask for honest feedback and a case study.

FAQ

Who will I be working with?

Me, Ed Chessman. I’ve spent over 20 years in B2B enterprise sales, much of it at small, early-stage startups trying to win much bigger customers. That included winning and growing accounts at global investment banks, and building a US startup’s European business from scratch.

I started cowX in 2020. Since then, I’ve helped 14 clients with their early go-to-market, pipeline and sales execution, including getting a fan experience firm talking to two Premier League clubs, from a cold start.

What goes out in my name?

Nothing goes out until you’ve approved the accounts, the angle for each, and the core message. Follow-ups then follow the plan we’ve agreed. Once a month we review everything together, and any big change of approach comes to you first. I set up a separate mailbox on your company’s domain, so your own inbox stays untouched, and you can see everything that goes out and comes back. LinkedIn requests, I draft for you to send yourself.

Who do you get in touch with?

Big companies often have more than one way in, through different divisions or departments. For each one, I work out where your experience fits best and who matters there, then put together a plan that we review and agree together.

I start with the three people best placed to bring you in: the person who makes the decision, the person who holds the budget, and someone who could back you internally. I don’t write to them all at once, and if they go quiet, I look for others.

What happens when someone wants to talk?

I find a time and put it in your diary. If they have questions first, I reply in line with what we’ve agreed, and bring you anything that needs your input. Then it’s over to you.

How long before I know it’s working?

It generally takes two to three months for real conversations to start. My guarantee covers your first three months. If nothing’s happened by then, I’ll stop and give you your money back.

What counts as a real conversation?

A call or meeting that actually happens, with someone at one of your ten companies, who knew what it was about. Email back and forth, or “not right now”, doesn’t count.

What if there’s no good reason to get in touch?

Then I don’t. I’d rather wait, or swap the company for one where there is, than spend your name on a message that doesn’t deserve it.

Do you use AI?

Yes, for research and for keeping watch on your ten companies. It’s what makes this affordable for a firm your size. Deciding when to get in touch, and making sure every message is good enough to carry your name, is down to me. You approve the approach, and we review it together every month.

Is it worth it for a firm like mine?

It works best when a typical deal with a big client is worth £100,000 or more. Below that, it’s hard for the service to pay for itself, and I’ll tell you so.

Could I do this myself?

You could. It means finding the right people, the right moments and the right reasons across ten companies, month after month. If you’d rather send the messages yourself, there’s a lighter version where I do the research and drafting.

Is this all above board?

Yes. Every approach has a genuine business reason, says who it’s from, and makes it easy to say no. I’m registered with the ICO.

Name one company. I’ll show you how I’d get in.

Tell me one big company you’d love to win. I’ll take a look, then set up a short call to talk you through what I found and how I’d approach it. On me. No strings.

It’s built from public information only, so think of it as a taste. The real service goes deeper, starting with a conversation with you and your clients.

I’ll do the work myself, and you’ll deal with me throughout.
